Ramona's Tepary Bean Brownies
Ramona's Tepary Bean Brownies
1 c. brown tepary beans pureed
1/2 c. Hershey's cocoa powder
3/4 c. honey
1/4 c. salted butter (melted)
1 c. Ramona Farms Pima Club all purpose flour
1/4 c. chopped pecans ( optional)
1/2 c. infused raisins (recipe below)
2 eggs
1/4 tsp. salt
infused raisins
1/2 c. raisins
1 tsp. ginger
1 tbsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 c. milk
1/4 c. honey
1 c. hot water
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Let ingredients soak for 20-30 minutes then blend on low until smooth .
1) Preheat oven to 325 degrees butter the bottom and sides of an 9x11 inch baking pan.
2 )In a large mixing bowl mix all ingredients together until smooth.
3) Pour brownie mixture into prepared pan and bake for 35-40 minutes (depending on oven temp )variations may cook little longer) check with toothpick in center of pan when it comes out clean they are ready!
4) Cool before you remove from pan. Recipe makes approximately 16 brownies.
