Lemon Lavender Butter Cookies
1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup lemon lavender sugar (From Flower Cubes)
2 large eggs, room temperature, slightly beaten
1/4 cup whole milk
2 tsp lemon extract
4-1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
-Set oven to 350
-In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, milk, and extract
-Combine dry ingredients; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. Cover and chill for 2 hours.
-Roll out on a lightly floured surface to 1/8 in thickness
-Cut with a 2-in cookie cutter dipped in flour. Place 2-in apart on uncreased baking sheets. Sprinkle with lemon lavender sugar.
-Bake until the edges just begin to brown. 8-9 minutes. Remove to wire racks and cool.
